FROM MIA TO PURA VIDA; COSTA RICA TRIP

FROM MIA TO PURA VIDA; COSTA RICA TRIP

They say that scenery fills a void, and from experience, I am going to have to agree. There’s something about traveling that ignites a fire in us,  a hunger to keep going, while making our biggest problems feel small.
I consider myself una gitana, in Spanish we refer to gypsies as a women of the wind;
“She walks step by step, in this fast world. Her destiny lies in the sea and in the sky, Always speaks her mind, with her gypsy heart. No one owns her, she is the one that decides when she arrives, when she leaves.”
—Xo, Thal
That is how I have always been, being on the go keeps the energy of my creativity flowing.
In this short but sweet trip to Costa Rica, I found myself capturing moments more than ever. Usually I snap a few pictures and call it quits, but this time..
I made memories for a lifetime.

The best thing about our hotel stay, I must say it was the beautiful view from our room’s balcony. The breakfast was included, which was also a big plus, forced us to wake up early for it. We enjoyed our days by the infinity pool, while having drinks from the on sight bar. We had a Berry Smoothie and Virgin Piña Colada + Raw Tuna [TOP 2 AND NOT #2] with Fish Tacos.

The only down side of our stay was the twin beds that they make into a queen size one, just uncomfortable when you are trying to cuddle together and the bed splits.

Wyndham’s Beach Club:
Rate: 7/10

The beach club was part of the hotel, the gym was small but had all the essentials, can’t really complain.  They also offered separate yoga classes, not included in your hotel pass. The actual pool area and food menu did not impress me, compared to the hotel pool and restaurant.

RESTAURANTS

We attended this restaurant/bar twice, once for dinner which was great. They had a lot of vegetarian options which we loved, and had watermelon margaritas. The ambiance was upbeat and fun, perfect for a pregame vibe.

On the second time, we attended for a party in the Jungle vibe, this was so fun & intimate! The music was good, and the crowd was dancing while still keeping the energy smooth. Good drinks and good service.

The location was absolutely adorable, it feels authentic to the ‘Pura Vida’ hype.
I mean seriously, one of the best dragon fruit bowls I have ever had. Ginger shots were strong yet tasteful. We had a fruit bowl, but the place had many other lunch menu options. We also had coconut water from their local coconut palm tree, delicious.

Jaguar Tamarindo;
Rate: 10/10
This place was my favorite, apart from eating literally ocean view, on the sand, hearing the waves crash, they had live music and yummy drinks to match. We ordered a seafood pasta which was the highlight of the night + fried pan octopus with veggies. Surprisingly we were full, but still felt light. They also had a fire show that starts at 7pm, the whole restaurant was just IT.

I love me a techno party, specially in the middle of the Jungle. The aesthetics were on, and location as well. If you like to party in exotic places, this one is for you.
